Many different religions exist in the world today. How can a person know which one is
right? Actually, religion is unable to help sinful humans know the Creator in a
personal way. Catholics, Presbyterians, Mormons, Methodists, Baptists, Jehovah’s
Witnesses, Lutherans, Muslims, Jews or any other religious system is not able to change
a person on the inside. Mankind has a sin nature and is unable to overcome it by himself.
A perfect Creator demands perfection. However, human beings cannot achieve perfection since they all have done something wrong. Forgiveness must be obtained or punishment must be received for every wrong deed and thought.
JESUS’ claim was:JESUS claimed to be the ONLY way to the Father – God the Creator.
Does His claim sound rather “narrow-minded“ or “bigoted” to you?And He proved that He is God by rising from the dead! Jesus was Who He claimed to be!
Before you think Jesus was too "narrow-minded", Try looking inside yourself.
“The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked. Who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9
“I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give to every man according to his ways”
Jeremiah 17:10
(In other words, the LORD our Creator knows our “hearts.” He knows that we have ALL disobeyed His
righteous demands.)
The problem is a SIN problem that can only be helped first by a realization that there is One Who set up laws which man has broken. God himself knew we needed help. God, being holy(or perfect), could not look or see our sinful nature. So he sent his Son Jesus from heaven into His Own creation to become the payment for man’s sin. He became the Savior to pay for our sin and save us from our sinfulness.
“Come now and let us reason together,” saith the LORD: “though your
sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like
crimson, they shall be as wool.“
Isaiah 1:18
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and
shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised
him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. 10
For with the heart man believeth
unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made
unto salvation.”
Romans 10:9-10
A simple prayer (“call upon the LORD”) of belief and acceptance of Christ as your only hope is ALL that is necessary in order to receive salvation. On our behalf, Christ Jesus took the punishment for our sin on the cross of Calvary. If you believe that He died for your sins, and are convinced that without His payment for sin applied to your life you face an eternal place of punishment that Jesus called “hell,”
